Masak-Masak!
The next day all I had to bring was spring onion, tomatoes and chilli. And the kain lah. You knw, this is the first time I'm looking forward to Living Skills. Wow! Anyway, me and Yan Teng were so hyped we told evryone frm our Group A to be ready to leave by 6:05PM cause the both of us were going to set the place on fire. Haha, I knw, syok sendiri.
Anyway, when I arrived evryone was outside wearing their aprons. I collected my stuff and entered to find Pn. Nadiah. I was lik, "Hai, Cikgu!" She laughed a bit (dunno why) and said, "Aman-der (you knw, she pronounces my name lik tht, but tht's better than Ah-man-dah and she won't be able to say Amanda simply, so, you get it) keluar pakai apron dulu." I groaned, then I decided I could leave my things here, then wear the apron. Haha. "Saya letak barang sini, ya," and I put my stuff on her table. She chuckled and was, "Ya, Aman-der." Aman-der... so strange~
Then we set to work. Pick, mix, wash, cut, slice~ We started cooking and stuff. Yan Teng made me cut the mushrooms first, and you knw, any kind of food tht I try to do anything with most probably will end up spoilt. And so it was with the mushrooms. "Leave it, Manda, I'll do tht." Haha! OK, not evrything I do tht has to do with cooking will end up bad lah. Exaggerating only. Hehe.
So I didn't cut the mushrooms, instead I made the drink! Yes, grape juice. Easy and there was lots of sugar. But I balanced it out and got the perfect taste. Put it in the fridge and left.
Pn. Nadiah came over and taught us the first steps then she left us for sembahyang time. I was tumbuk-ing the onion and ginger when Pn. Nadiah returned. Before tht I was making a heck of a noise on the table, then when she came, Lavenya: "Psst... Tumbuk on the floor lah! Teacher's here adi." Good ol' friend! Hehe. So I proceeded to make noise on the floor, not above it. I seriously tumbuk until it was seriously tumbuk-ed. Teacher said I did a good job! =D
I was done tumbuk-ing so I took out the curry puffs I bought frm Pn. Nadiah in the afternoon. They're really good, you knw! RM1 for 3. Darn cheap, right? Go get it if you catch Pn. Nadiah before 1:20PM or something. Haha. I fed Yan Teng some, and she was lik, "Manda, you are keng man!" LOL. And then I gave Chew Yong some. If Pn. Nadiah's business improves just slightly, hope she knws it's me. Haha. Joking.
After the spaghetti was cooked, we started putting in the tomato puree, sauce, paste, whatever together with the fried garlic, onion, ginger. Yan Teng and I alternated between cooking and washing. I washed so slowly and it wasn't a great job either. Haha. I'm extremely snail-lik when it comes to hse chores.
Cause of tht, Yan Teng took over the washing and I did the cooking. Yay! When the washing was finished, Yan Teng continued the cooking and I set up the table. First, I put the flowers in the middle, then asked, "Teng, how is it?" She said, "Manda, put it properly. Somewhr else so got space for the food also." I shifted it higher, then asked Yan Teng again. She laughed, and was, "Yeah, lik tht OK." Haha. All I did was move it to the end.
Teacher came around and tried our food and drinks. She said our drink was tawar and the spaghetti fine. What the -? Drink... tawar. Taking the cue after she walked away, me and Yan Teng grabbed the jug and drank straight frm it. Tawar... tawar... it's sweet lah! Maybe age actually spoils tastebuds. LOL!
When she graded evryone's food, she started telling us our tugasan at the whiteboard. Instead of doing the work, Yan Teng and I left it to Seah Yih and Anita and went around trying Chew Yong & Jia Ying's spaghetti (best - so far - until we tried Lin Kee's at the roadside, I mean the location, not tht the spaghetti was on the roadside or anything), Lavenya & Joanna's (I can't rmb the taste, so you could figure tht it wasn't memorable, haha) and Seah Yih & Anita's (too lil sauce and the noodles were hard). OK, been commenting so much on others, but Yan Teng and mine's I've shut up. But ours was kind of sour. Satisfactory, tho.
Now I can't wait for the next masak-masak session for KH!

Chapter II
When we arrived at Hin Hua it was so packed with ppl. Mei Er was waiting outside with Kym so we weren't lost in the crowd. There I was introduced to Mei Er's friend (who's now also my friend, haha) Amanda Lee Siu Chern. Yes, you can either call her Amanda or Siu Chern. I call her my name. Hehe. And Amanda thought I was Form 4. Really! Anyway, I met some ppl I knw there, but I knew they would be there, so no surprise. The T-shirts were gone adi, but Mei Er had some booked for her so I got one cause she promised me and Amanda tht she'd buy one for each of us (she promised both Amandas, what man! Lik she promised all her friends, so said Amanda, haha) I got an M which was kind of huge but I guess it's fine. I'm lucky tho, many ppl couldn't get it. Mei Er said there were ony 200 T-shirts & over 1000 ppl. Hah!
While waiting for a missed call I was expecting, Amanda & Mei Er started camwhoring. Kym's finger was over the camera and both of us were lik, "Eh, all dark la wei!" "You're covering the camera, so of course la!" LOL. What to do, how would me and Kym knw how to use Amanda's 3250. Summore twist here, twist there. Haha.
Anyway, I got the missed call and called Lyon back since I was s'posed to. He joined us, and it was easy to find him, he's so tall! Haha. But we had to find for Lyssa, she kept on reappearing and disappearing. When we were gathered together, we headed up to the hall. Found places at the side, and since I didn't wanna hold my T-shirt all the time, Vincent took care of mine! Thanks Vincent! Lyon sat behind me and Mei Er & Kym sat beside me. Haha. Just saying la. In the middle row I could see Amanda P., Michelle Tan, Angel, etc. They were all waving and gesturing to me to come. But I just smiled and shook my head. I was staying right whr I was (it's a comfortable place =D) Oh, and Jolene says I look taller than in skl. Yay! Haha.
When the music started it was pretty loud. And everyone went in front. Cause I was standing in between Lyon & Gavin (both really tall guys) when they clapped it was like so close to my ear and the noise was deafening. Joanne and Han had to shout to talk to me. After close to an hour of singing, we returned to our seats. Then there was dramas and all. You know, rally stuff. But there was a lot of jumping. However, I didn't jump. Gerard said tht he could see me and Kym just standing with everyone around us jumping. LOL! Must've looked out of place.
During the message, OK, I admit, our row weren't paying much attention. Lyon was lik, "You know, none of us are paying attention at all." Haha. Me, Mei Er & Amanda were camwhoring with Amanda's 3250 - again - and Mei Er's W810i. To be specific la. Haha. But seriously, we couldn't hear what the pastor was saying. It was lik we caught just little bits and pieces of his message. So we paid attention at the ending, straining our ears to hear what the pastor was saying. After tht, we prayed and he asked all Christians who want him to pray for them to go in front. I looked at Kym and she was lik, "Wanna go?" I nodded. "Let's go." Haha. So we went.
When everything was over, Wei Shern came over after I got my T-shirt back frm Vincent. He's so sweet, holding my T-shirt for over 3 hrs. Hehe. "Why you didn't go Doulos?" asked Wei Shern. "I got music class." "Is it?" "Yeah, every Saturday wert." "Ya lor." "You wearing another shirt inside?" Then Lyon came, "Eh, yala! Why you wear another shirt?" He was wearing the shirt tht me and Mervy chose for him when we went shopping on my b'day, if you guys rmb tht previous post. OK, nvm, go back! "And this shirt is so huge for you," I said (as in the rally shirt) "It's not mine. I forgot to bring mine." "Ah," said Lyon. Haha. Then Amanda came and was lik, "Ugh! I'm starving. Let's go and eat la~" "Me too," said Wei Shern. "Gerard's bringing us for mamak. Wanna go?" I asked. "Can't la wei. I live in Bkt. Tinggi," said Amanda. Awww... ! Then Gerard came. "Gtg now, guys. Too late later can't send 'em home early." So Wei Shern didn't come, and Lyon had to go adi (and there we confirmed whether or not he wanted a DiGi number so tht I txt him cheaper =P)
All of us went downstairs, and Amanda was lik, "Aiyoh! After this can't see you anymore. So sad. Bye-bye!" Then we hugged and she left. T_T Hehe. When me, Gerard, Lyssa, Gavin & Jacqueline went to Modern, Mei Er called saying she was with Kym & Vincent in the mamak opposite Esso and asked us to cancel all our orders and go. Lik we would! Haha. Besides, the food in Modern is way better than the Esso mamak. Then Uncle Yoon Loi, Aunty Woon Do, Uncle Johnson, Aunty Meg, Uncle Drew & Aunty Mee Ching came. Shortly after, Sean, Joshua, Xin Xin and another guy arrived. They just returned frm sending Ee May off to Adelaide. Oh, I'm so gonna miss her for the nxt 4 months. Here's a shout out to you Down Under! Sean and all sat at the table beside us, and Prom King was all, "Eh, better eat fast. Go home and sleep. Tmrw worship, you knw! And send Prom Queen home first." He pointed at me. "She's princess, must go home first." Ah! Ever since I asked him abt the prom (cause of Matthew) he's been calling me Prom Queen and I to him Prom King (this is cause he was nominated). Besides, what was he still doing there then? Hahaha.
I had Nasi Goreng Pattaya and the five of us were discussing, um, flatulence & burping. Me & Gavin agreed tht burping was way more acceptable and polite than flatulence. C'mon, man! Everyone knws tht. But no, Gerard, Lyssa & Jacqueline were lik, tentang-ing us. OK, forget tht. Btw, there're no pics cause I didn't bring my cam along. Good thing, tho, or else Vincent would hve to hold it for me also, haha, =P
Well, I returned home at 11.30PM, and since the rally ended, I was txting Jolene. She's so nice to txt me so quickly. Haha. I slept at 12:30AM. The rally was really awesome, and you knw, lik one of my friends said, I could make up my mind whether or not to go nxt yr if I go this yr, and I think I'll go nxt yr too =D But really, the rally was great! The fellowship and the praise & worship ruled the place, man! Again, as I quoted in a previous post (and this quote was used against me also, lol) "... and now I think rallies rock!"

Just Felt Like It
After awhile, they got used to it, but before that there were whispers here and there that it was unfair for Lavenya to sit beside me. What the heck! So I adopted a plan: DEFY & IGNORE. Haha. It worked you know. You shouldn't let ppl like tht get to you. Can't please everyone, can you?
So now we've got new places, but Yan Teng still occasionally says stuff like, "Manda, I hate you. You took my place." So I guess I've gotta get used to it cause I put her beside Anita who's behind me, and yes, I did take her place. I mean, look at it! So tempting, with the fan, and the distance from the board is just right. What d'you expect? You made me do the seating plan! =D
Oh, and these few days I've been playing with water a lot. Cause, like, me, Yan Teng, Chew Yong & Lin Kee snuck out and messed with the taps. So y'day we did tht too. And Yan Teng, well, I was in her way and she gave me those BodyGlove prints. I think Chew Yong threw like so much water at her back, and she didn't realize cause she was chasing me. Then when we returned to class, she kind of threw up - water - and of all places to be, Yan Teng, why my place?! It's like she was so strategically placed. So there beside me from BM, 2nd period I sat beside a puddle of Yan Teng's - well, what d'you call it? - watery stuff. Ick! I'm grossing myself. Enough! But it's been fun, just tht we might've been disrupting 2K & 2P. Cause we've been running and making lots of noise everytime we chase each other back to class. Sry!
And everything is fine now. But you know, friendships nowadays are kind of difficult for me. Maybe cause I'm weird, so I have weird friendships or connections with ppl. Not all, though. Certain ones. And some will remain awkward while others are normal. I have 3 different friendships:
1) I talk to you in school only
2) I talk to you thru text only
3) I don't talk to you at all
There's only one person in Category 2, and majority makes up Category 1 (normal friends/acquaintances). And those of you who think you're in Category 3, it may be cause I have nothing to say to you or cause I want to talk to you but just can't seem to. So I have explained myself =] Tho, OK, there might be quite a number in Category 3. LOL!
Also, nowadays I'm having weird dreams - OK, I always have weird dreams - there was one where me and Lin Kee were reported bringing liquid paper and were asked to go for a check? Yes, we had to put our hands into some toaster-cum-photocopying machine with laser thing. Oh, whatever! My dreams are so out of it~ Then I woke, and, yes, it seems dreams are the product of things that are in your mind which you do not know are in there. Or - uh, something like tht. Man, I have to stop! I'm rambling already.
OK, so I'll stop here. At last, one post done! Took me awhile to drag my lazy fingers over the keyboard and tap tap tap.

Hari Kad KECEMERLANGAN!
Anyway, 2H was watched over by Pn. Fauziah, so me and Yan Teng had to watch where we kept our mp3 players. Hehe. But when she went out, we took the chance to take some pics! Here, got 2 before the teacher returned:
Where's the tie, man?a) welcome the parents
b) get them to sign that slip of paper on that table
c) show them in
d) tell them to sit if there're a few of 'em waiting outside
But lucky me, my friends love me so much that they didn't want me to do all that hard work by myself, LOL! And the outcome? Look below:
Appears I didn't have to do my work full time, cause not only the both of them manned the table, so did Lavenya. Haha... friends really are useful sometimes, ey?OK, now about the parents. There was quite a variety: a mum who bothered about us talking on the mobile with her there, a mum who didn't like having to sign, and a suspected to be vaguely flirting dad. I have to tell you about that last one! He's the father of L** L* Ch***. I'd rather keep her identity partially secret. Hehe. Anyway, I was at the table and this man came up.
Me: Sir, pls write your name here and your daughter's name here.
Dad: I don't know how to write wor.
Me: Err... Sir, pls write your name here and your daughter's name here... then sign.
Dad: I really don't know how to write. You write for me lah. [Winks at Lin Kee while Lavenya goes "Gasp... !"]
Me: Um... O-K, what's your name?
Dad: L** Ah S***.
Me: All right.
Dad: Your handwriting nice oh.
Me: [Laughs slightly]
Dad: [About to enter class, stops then turns to look at me] What's your name ah? [Eyes my name tag]
Me: Uh, Amanda.
[After he enters the class]
Lin Kee: OMG, what's wrong with him?
Lavenya: He winked at Lin Kee!
Me: HAHAHAHA!!!
While doing our work, we were visited by a few ppl.
#1, Mr. Choo:
#2, Robyn & Wee (who took the pic):
#3, Melia:
OK, now about "REPORT CARD DAY". Aunty Lay Leng acted as my aunt because my mum couldn't make it. So, all Pn. Pari said was "She's the class president, my right-hand, without her I'd be quite helpless... efficient, responsible... Her grades are fine, but it'd be nice to see all As... " I'm sure many of you know already anyway. Haha. When most of the parents were already there, me and my friends just messed around the table cause it seemed there would be no more customers. Hehe. And at that moment I felt my mobile vibrate in my pocket... *gasp*... Who could it be? There, flashing on the screen was Gerard. LOL!
Gerard: Amanda, I'm looking at you now.
Me: Huh? What? Where?
Gerard: I'm in front of my sister's class.
Me: Eh? Um... oh yeah! Haha. HI! (Waves)
Gerard: (Waves back)
Me: What're you doing here?
Gerard: Taking report card for my sister.
Me: I see. Man, this is so weird. We're looking at each other and talking.
Gerard: Haha, yeah. [Anita nudges me and Lavenya looks at me with slitted eyes] I can see your friends are disturbing you.
Me: Haha, yeah.
Gerard: OK then. I'll leave you to do your things. Bye! =)
Me: Hehe, all right. Bye-bye.
LOL! That's how it was.
Then before I left, I took this pic with Catherine:
All my friends were still there when I left, so T_T I kind of missed out a bit. But I called them thru Anita's mobile phone (good thing you brought!) and talked and talked. I tried to listen in on Lavenya's session with Pn. Pari, but Lavenya was like, "We're speaking in Tamil-lah, mangkuk!" She's been saying that a lot lately... haha, but nvm. So, that was all, and here, Cuz, is my 3rd post since you were asking for the 3rd one in the tagboard =)Monday, 19 June 2006

*Shining As Stars*
DAY 1
OK, when we first arrived, there was the normal stuff. Ya know, briefing and welcoming. My group is Honey Stars, which consists of: Nadia (leader), Han, Jerry, Marcus, Nyuet Fen, Gerard & me. In the beginning it looked pretty dysfunctional to me but ya know what, we turned out to be the most happenin' group, according to the speaker, Oon Eu Jin from Kepong Gospel Hall.
Anyway, we started with this game aka flour warfare. The outcome was as the photo below shows:
So after games we had to wait for the food, which arrived late that night. But we didn't complain. Heck, it didn't really bother me. When at last the food came, it was really delicious. Like, seriously! A plus point to the camp.
DAY 2
Normal beginnings. Talks and stuff. After that, lunch and all. During free time they were playing captainball, and since I'm not an avid fan I headed up to our girls' dorm (there're 2, mine houses Kym, Alyssa, Mei Er, Amelia, Nadia, Ee May, Vivien and me). There I found Ee May, practising her violin. You see her exam's coming up and she's not what you'd call 'super-prepared'. Haha. Well, for the next day's free time period too, she practised her violin.
I've got proof too. Ee May practised a lot until even the tune was stuck in my head. And it wasn't a happy song... it was like composed when the composer was depressed or something. Out of the three, the so called happiest one doesn't sound all that happy either. Haha.
That night, after all the talks I took some photos at the platform. This is one of them:
And after that, me, KK, Ee May, Gerard & Wei Shern (who were the few ppl I hanged out with the most during the camp) went up to the gate that led down to the lodge at night, where it was dark and misty (harhar... cool) to take some photos. Here's the 4 of us, with Gerard taking the photo:
DAY 3
We have a really long free period because we were supposed to use it to figure out something for the night's performance. Did some thinking but then we all kind of got tired of thinking. Adrian already gave a pesanan to change into our camp T-shirt for the day's photo-taking session. The 6 of us already started snapping photos before the official one began =D
It was games time again! This time we were playing "Romanopoly". It'll be difficult to explain so I won't even try to do it. Anyway, here's us caught in the action:
Oh yeah, and I bought Gerard from the slave market. And I did the next best thing: give him money to redeem himself! Aih... I don't even know why I did that. Look at him, showing off his 'REDEEMED' sign, and there goes my 10 pennies. LOL...
DAY 4
Nice, ain't it? But the one thing that we must always do before doing anything when you're in camp is... *drumroll* take photos! And after following the speaker Eu Jin all the way from the lodge and gathering the guts to ask him for a photo, me and Wei Shern at last got our photo. This is all due to the courage of - ahem, KK - not us =] Anyway, since the speaker's photo is here, let's elaborate on him. He's really a great speaker! Interesting, engaging, and right-to-the-point (as Nadia always says).
Me, Wei Shern and Adrian were the last to leave because - well, I don't know the real cause. But when we trudged uphill we found CCC... on this rock:
BUT, lucky us! He was waiting for the last ppl so that we could take a shortcut that allows us to skip all the uphill walking. Yay! In the photo below, can you see that flight of stone steps? Well, that's the shortcut we used. It was a little steep going up, because the steps turned 45 degrees. But I made it! Hahaha.
When we returned, after a good shower, and a whole lot of screaming with Mei Er and Ee May, we packed our bags and loaded them into the van. I really miss the lodge, and it really was a great place. This is - or was - my bed, the one below (if you can recognize my sling bag, and can you see Ee May's pink iPod Mini? Hehe) because Mei Er wanted my place and I ended up sleeping on the opposite bed which in turn caused me to suffer bedbug bites. AHHH!!!
And the view when we opened the dorm door from the balcony is:
OK, wrong one, LOL. This is the nice view:
Haha. All in all, it was an enriching experience that nudged me to start doing my quiet time in a devoted manner. So now you know how I was before this =P
The ride back I was sitting with Wei Shern and Ee May and KK were just beside us. (See, I really hung out with these few ppl the most during this camp.) Wei Shern was trying to capture Ee May sleeping but instead she posed for the camera. Haha!
And all I did was use the mobile while Wei Shern listened to my iPod Mini and stared out the window... dunno what was on his mind. Maybe how much he - or rather, we - are already missing camp, T_T

Happy Birthday... to Me!
I went to Sunway Pyramid after that cause Aunty Alice invited us for an ice skate date. Too bad I didn't ice skate because Mervy and Wei Shern didn't want to. So the three of us went shopping. And let me tell you, this is the first time I've felt so exhausted just shopping. Mervy definitely has a terrible sense of direction. Instead of taking a more obvious, visible, shorter route, we made an entire round. We went to the arcade, to the toyshop (everybody go "What?") and Mervy messed with the electric keyboard.
And we kept on returning to Body Glove, Radioactive and Giordano until even the salespeople recognized us (and even Giordano's salesgirl stopped saying "Welcome"... LOL) Look, Mervy, made me and Wei Shern hated by the salespeople. But I had lots of fun. I chose clothes for Wei Shern and Mervy. Oh yeah, btw, Mervy, you look splendid in M! Despite it being transparent (as noted by Wei Shern =P) So I didn't buy anything. But we ate at KimGary's after buying clothes for Wei Shern. We had Milo Milk Ice Blended, Coconut & Peanut Thick Toast and Lemon Aloe Vera.
Mum and Sis gave me birthday ang pau: RM60. A lot for the first time. Hehe. And my younger bro, Jo bought me a small book abt sisters from MPH and he gave me RM30(for reload card, he says). How sweet is that! Thanks Jesus for such a wonderful family.
When we were going home I was so tired! But I'm really happy cause so many people wished me. It's so nice to be remembered. I'm sure everyone feels that way. Haha. Now I'm sitting here typing this post and feeling oh so tired (mainly because of Mervy). OK then, that is all.
P.S. Will be posting about the camp after I upload the pics. Hang around, folks!

Rally from An Usher's View =D
Anyway, I was an usher that night. Me, Boon Hoy, Boon Seng, Wei Shern, Nyuet Fen, Vivien, and a few more. We gathered at 7pm in church. Vivien gave us a briefing on our job for that night. Boon Seng and I were in charge of the registration of the people who came. As we sat there praying for the mosquitoes not to come, we distributed little torchlights and tracks.
Even when the singing session began, all of us ushers were left outside waiting for latecomers. But it was OK, cause we had each other for company XD But we joined the singing session for awhile at the ending. The playlist that night was "One Way", "Who Am I", "All for Love", "Lift Up Your Eyes", and more. It was led by Joshua with backup singers: Kym, Ruth, and Xin Xin.
The presentations that night were smashing! A sketch entitled "Perfect Lives" was presented by Wei Jin, Sean [Sean-Z, music producer of Taman Linkin and Jay Chua... LOL], Nadia [Miss Leng Ai Sui], and Ee May [Datin Donatella Versace Chanel]. It had us all in stitches! Hahaha~ The sketch ended with a song by Brian: "Here I Go Again" by Casting Crowns.
When the meeting started, there was no space for me (cause Lyon didn't save a seat for me T_T) and the ushers to sit so me, Boon Seng, Boon Hoy, and Wei Shern were stranded out on the steps holding response slips. Yes, I know, sad, ain't it? Hehe... So during that time, we took some pics using Boon Hoy's Moto RAZR, and it's really clear. Check 'em out! =)
"OK, that one has got to go!"Then we had refreshments upstairs. Alyssa and me camwhored in the hall after that. What to do, she's really an expert at that. She can do it anywhere, anytime! LOL~ I went home wat 11.25pm. And now you know what? I think rallies rock! =D
P.S. There are no pics of what happened in the hall because the ushers were abandoned outside... haha! Sorry!
